Who is Smarter, the Mowstress or the Mower

The saga of the mowstress continues…
So my second time mowing…. I realized that my mower was considered a smart mower… because it is clearly smarter than I am…. Amazing what happens when you realize you actually do not need a thumb extension to mow because the “smart” mower accelerator thumb thingy actually is adjustable…. Who knew??? Clearly not this mowstress. There was a slight problem however, with this adjustment. The first time I mowed, my speed was limited by the limits of my thumb length and so I had a maximum pace I could mow at, although annoying, much safer than my current situation… let’s just say that I am sure if any of my neighbors were watching this fiasco, they saw my push mower pulling me and me running several times. I am not quite used to this new found power yet… so I got a little accelerator happy. I did manage to stay on my feet at least so that was good. One thing I did notice while I was mowing was that a lot of people run at 9:00 o'clock ish… and I decided because I was actually running much of the time, if people asked me I might just tell them I went running on Saturday morning, seems legitimate to me! After mowing where I can say my lines were a little straighter I went about weed wacking where I learned another valuable lesson called “read the directions” which might have helped with the smart mower too I guess. Last week I neglected to mention that while I was weed whacking my weed wacker smoked a little… I wasn’t sure if this was normal but it was wet so I figured maybe that was it… it seemed ok…. But it did the same thing on Saturday and so I kind of got to wondering if maybe it wasn’t normal. Amazingly, when I stopped and went and found the directions I realized that there was a shield somewhere in my garage (which is still full of unpacked boxes) which when I found and put on miraculously stopped the smoking. Just like a superhero without their shield, the weed wacker worked much better with a shield. My weeds are half whacked at this point because my battery died...or maybe it is just me that is half whacked… but I am starting to get this yard stuff down… sort of.
